I remember the first time in elementary school when I was introduced to Kid Pix and the EXCITEMENT I felt that I could make a document with a border of hearts, wordart and clipart. I could design it exactly how I wanted it. This excitement only grew as I learned Photoshop and spent hours making Geocities websites dedicated to Colin Farrell and making custom layouts for my Live Journal, Xanga and Myspace.
I knew from a young age that this was what I wanted to dedicate my life to, so I graduated with a bachelors in Computer Graphics Design from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (smaller and different Baylor). From there I went on to work at Disney for the Disney College Program, KVUE - a news station based in Austin, and then at RMG Networks as a Senior Multimedia Designer.
During my work at RMG I decided to make a YouTube channel as a hobby. It grew into something much bigger than I anticipated so when my husband’s job moved us to California I decided to give it a run as a full-time job. I have had my share of success, getting recognized on the street (always awkward), featured in the Wall Street Journal and working with many brands I never thought I would get to. After several years of doing YouTube full time, however, I’m ready to get back into the work force and be part of a team again in a creative capacity. I’m excited for this new chapter of my life and look forward to putting my passion to work for you.
